Stanley Chan,
professional
on-location sound recordist. Stanley
dove into the film and video world right out of high school in
1986. He recorded sound for shows like "A Current Affair" and
"Real Stories of the Highway Patrol". Most recently he has
worked on projects like "Chefs of Beverly Hills", Microsoft
Commercials, "National Geographic Redwoods", and many local
and national commercials. Although his main focus (pun
intended) is behind the camera, he has never given sound a
backseat status. Much of his time is spent in the field and
buying more gear. Union NABET #51, IBEW #4. Credits include
commercials and movies; Maytag, George Wallace, MTV shows
and specials.

for cameras similar to the XL-2 and PD-170, the SGM-1X is
298mm (11.75") long and comes with a foam windscreen,
shockmount with integral shoe-mount, low impedance XLR output
and features a switchable low frequency filter. A single “AAA”
battery can operate the mic for approximately to 1000 hours.
